Church and humour are two topics that neccessarily do not come together. In the Christian Middles Ages laughter was feared by the church, today Michael Berger runs the first "Church of humour" in Germany.
On her journey Laura Chaplin meets a pioneer of the humour movement, Michael Berger wants to create a place where people come not in fear of God but to spread laughter and happiness.
Under his motto "Expansion of consciousness through exhilaration of consciousness" he organizes laugther meetings and laughter yoga sessions within the sacred walls.
